In the quadratics unit, we covered many word problems and one of them was shape problems. Below is an example of a shape problem with step by step procedures I have made to help grasp this concept.

You have a 130m of rope. You need to put rope around 3 sides of your driveway, with the fourth side being against the garage. What dimensions would provide the maximum area, and what is the maximum area.
